Child Proofing

Adam has been helping us baby-proof our home. Since he can crawl anywhere and pull himself up to a standing position, he has shown us some areas where our child-proofing is somewhat lacking.

Yesterday he showed us that the end table we have in the family room is not a good place to put the Baby Tylenol. We looked over to see him desperately trying to gnaw open the bottle and get his cherry-flavored fix. He's already an acetaminophen junkie. Thank goodness that child-proof caps really work.

Sunday he scared the bejeesus out of me. He was crawling around on the floor behind the loveseat. I turned around to see that he was standing over by where we charge our cell phones. He was holding one of the cords and was gumming the end of it. I did a classic spit take as I realized the cord was plugged in. Actually it was almost a spit-up take since I nearly regurgitated my lunch. I ran over quickly before he was able to electrocute his tongue.

So, we're recharging our phones someplace else now.

ah...memories. :)

Emma was born Child-proof fortunately. Aidan was a bit more adventurous. They keep you active, that's for sure.
