Short Week, Long Week
Short week at the office; long week at home. Both kids are teething this week, which means lots of crying, sobbing, and general grumpiness. The kids and the Missus aren't very happy either.
When visiting the grandparents on Saturday, Grammy noticed that Adam's eye was oozing something. A trip to the local pediatric clinic confirmed that it was pinkeye. Fortunately it has cleared up quickly, but the Missus and I have had to hold Adam down and pry his eyes open three or four times a day to put some drops in. Fun. He's also had a cold and a low-grade fever for the past couple of days. Add in the teeth and he's one miserable boy.
Tessa, normally the happiest baby in the world, or at least our little part of it, has been teething some too. She'll just be be-bopping along and suddenly she'll have this awful look of pain on her face. Crying usually follows.
She has discovered a new activity this week: biting. Adam got a rude shock the other day when he went over to take a toy away from Tessa as is his custom. We hope this is a temporary effect due to the teething. We haven't gotten any reports from daycare about it--so far.

Ah... I love re-living through the stories you tell. Emma and Aidan have gone through the same thing, and boy, it seems like AGES ago.
Thankfully neither of them stayed in the "biting" stage.... I think Emma got Aidan good ONCE. He learned to put his fingers elsewhere. :)
Hope the kids rebound quickly for you. Teething kids are no fun.
