The Missus and I took a quick trip to Williamsburg this weekend. She had always wanted to go, and picked this trip for our anniversary. We had fun, but it was a long drive.
The twins did really well, though let us know loudly when they needed to stop. I took some back roads, which made for a beautiful journey, but there was one stretch where we needed someplace to stop for food and only saw trees and farms for miles and miles.
We stayed in a cute "Colonial House," right next to the park area. The air conditioner was broken. I don't think it was supposed to be, though it might have been a special "Live Like the Colonists" weekend.
I took some pictures, but found it difficult to find time or free hands enough. Tessa has started smiling when my camera is out. This is a welcome change from the past, when I could only get a frown from her. Maybe she no longer believes that the camera is trying to eat Daddy's face. Maybe.
