Sleepy Time

Usually after the kids eat lunch they're ready for a nap. Today, I asked Tessa, "Are you ready for night-night?" Night-night being code, of course, for a nap. Tessa just looked at me and walked away. Guess that means no, I thought. Then she came back with her blankie. "Night-night?" I asked. She nodded, said, "Yes," and started walking toward the stairs. She handed me her blanket and started climbing, me right behind her. Upstairs she walked into her room, grabbed Clifford the Big Red Dog and waited for me to put her in her crib. She's now snoozing quietly. What a sweetie.

Where was Adam? He was already in his crib. He had fallen asleep while sitting in his high chair.

Adie and Tess

Tessa calls her brother "Adie." The Missus and I have started calling him that too. I'm very proud of their ability to use two syllable words now: "cracker" and "okay" are popular. They can also climb stairs. We carefully let them when we take them to bed. They have so much fun as they climb, then they are crushed when we put them in their cribs. Well, they have to learn that life isn't fair sometime.

This weekend we broke out their Halloween costumes for their cousin Noah's tenth birthday party. It was held at the local Leesburg movie theater and was lots of fun, though we had to leave a little early. The twins can only sit quietly in the dark for so long. I took some pictures of them of course. Click here to view them.
