Daycare pictures

Here are a couple of pictures taken by the nice ladies at the twins' daycare. Tessa and Adam are getting a lot of neat experiences that they wouldn't if we had them at home all the time. We probably wouldn't let them paint for example. Think of the carpet! Nor would we let them ride a pony. Think of the carpet!

Tessa seems to be enjoying herself on the pony. Adam isn't so sure about the whole thing.

Maniacs

Sometime in the last couple of weeks, our sweet little babies have turned into a couple of maniacs.

Tessa has discovered that she can make really, really loud sounds out of her mouth. Yes, she has discovered how to scream. And she practices a lot.

Adam is a climber. I saw him climb into the toy box that we had placed behind our loveseat. He piled some toys on top of each other and used them to climb up over the back of the loveseat. Then he looked at me and gave me a big ol’ grin. I was so proud of him! Then I moved the toy box away so he couldn’t do it again.

Our pantry fascinates them. They love to get in there and pull stuff off the shelves—over and over again. They also love to get behind our TV and play with the electric cords back there. Fortunately they haven’t electrocuted themselves yet, but they do usually managed to screw up the cable TV connection.

It’s a good thing they’re so cute, because they’re driving me crazy!

Shots

I stayed home today to help the Missus take the twins for a checkup at the doctor's office. Usually she does it herself, which is amazing, since they start crying the minute they figure out where they are. They are doing fine. Our pediatrician said they were "perfect," which we of course already knew.

Here is their weight and height information (for posterity):

Adam, 27lbs. 5oz., 35 inches.
Tessa, 27lbs. 4oz., 33 3/4 inches.

Their heights may be slightly off, since they were wiggling and struggling the whole time.

They both got two shots in the thigh. It was very stressful. For me, especially. They didn't like it either. We're all glad it is over.

After the appointment, we all went out and had some Mexican food. ¡Delicioso!
