The Aquarium and the Snowman

It's been a busy couple of days.

On Friday, we braved the frigid wind and went to the National Aquarium up in Baltimore. It was a great place to take the kids, though not perfect. There are a lot of escalators that connect different parts of the exhibits so they made us check our stroller. The Missus and I spent most of our time either chasing the twins or carrying them. It felt like they were getting heavier every minute. I'm pretty sure by the end of our visit they weighed about a ton apiece.

The twins had a good time. Adam enjoyed looking at the fish and turtles. He got so excited that he would turn around with a big smile, give me a hug, look back at the fish and then repeat the process. Tessa was fascinated by the manta rays. Some of the other fish scared her. (With good reason, some of those things were ugly.)

Here's a picture of Adam at the aquarium.

The people at the aquarium were very nice. They laughed when Adam pulled something out of his nose and announced "Booger!" to everyone standing around. I was thinking: good job, boy--a two syllable word!

Tessa had more fun playing out in the snow today. She worked on building a snowman with her brother and her cousins.

Here's a picture of Tessa outside.

I was at work, so I don't know if she or Adam found any boogers today.

Big Sister

Though they do fight every once in a while, it’s amazing to the Missus and I how close Adam and Tessa are. I even managed to get them to hug each other for a picture. (We thought Adam would look good with his hair spiked up, but we’re not sure we want it that spiky.)

Tessa is every bit the big sister. A lady at the daycare told Linda that at lunch Adam finished his fruit salad quickly. Since he’s his father’s son, he asked “More? More?” Tessa noticed this and took her plate over and dumped her fruit salad onto Adam’s plate.

Cousin Jack

On Saturday, we drove out to visit the twins' new baby cousin, Jack. He was born on Thursday, February 1st, and was already home from the hospital. He's a great looking baby, and both he and his mother are doing very well.

Tessa and Adam were slightly interested in their new cousin. They were very interested in the balloon that someone had given their new cousin.

Above is a picture of the happy mother and child.

Jack is now the official baby of the (extended) family, taking that exalted post away from Tessa and Adam. The twins don't seem to mind however: they are just as crazy as ever.

They both love to read. Below is a picture of Tess reading, and one of Adam and his Pop Pop.
